Dr. John takes the helm of Kodak’s US&C Packaging Sales & Marketing

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Dr. John Anderson was recently promoted to role of U.S. and Canada Packaging Segment Sales and Product Marketing Director after previously serving in a packaging global development role.

“Kodak sees significant growth opportunities in the U.S. & Canadian packaging markets,” said John O'Grady, Managing Director, U.S. & Canada Region and Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company “We’re confident that both Kodak and our customers will benefit significantly from Dr. John’s attention and energies dedicated to this region.”

Dr. John Anderson is a former FTA Technical and Education Director and has more than 14 years’ experience dedicated to helping customers profit from the latest developments in the flexographic printing and overall packaging industry. He has worked in Kodak’s packaging business for the past five years, holding both regional and global marketing roles.

In his new role, Anderson will lead the existing packaging specialist team and work with customers and prospects to understand and maximize the benefits of Kodak’s FLEXCEL NX and FLEXCEL Direct solutions for package printing. He will evangelize for Kodak’s tools and systems for brand and product security, workflow and prepress communications. Anderson will also help ensure that Kodak packaging product development teams deliver differentiated products with the benefits that global and regional brand owners, prepress suppliers, and printers require.

“North America is a core packaging market and flexography is more dominant here than in any other region globally,” said Anderson. “I look forward to the ability to focus solely on the U.S. & Canada and to apply what I have learned from printers and brand owners globally, here in Kodak’s home market.”

Anderson continued, “During my travels around the world, I have seen that the global flexo industry is still learning how to realize the full benefits of the FLEXCEL NX System in production. Many customers see the immediate benefits of color and image fidelity from the exclusive DIGICAP NX Screening and pixel-for-pixel imaging, which consistently provides high-definition printing. However, too few customers realize the significant potential economic and environmental gains that can be achieved when you combine productivity and speed enhancements with waste savings and the optimization of ink and energy. I believe that 2013 will be exciting for traditional packaging users, and a transitional year, when next-generation applications, such as functional printing technologies, begin to come in to their own.”
