The winners receive plaques, and NPES contributes $2,000 in the name of the winners to the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation for scholarships offered to the employees or children of employees of NPES member companies to pursue studies in graphic communications.     Nathe was honored with the individual award for his active participation in the Association for more than 20 years. During that time, he has served as chairman of NPES, the Graphic Arts Show Company and the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation; treasurer of the Association; member of the board of directors and Executive Committee; chairman of the Market Research, Show and Strategic Planning Committees, and member of the Audit, Government Affairs, International Trade, Membership, Product Liability and Programs and Meetings Committees.     The nomination noted that he has made a significant contribution of time, energy and leadership to NPES and industry activities.   Bernal received the corporate Gegenheimer Award in recognition of the company’s many contributions to the association and the industry. A member of NPES for nearly 10 years and a GASC exhibitor, Bernal has been a leader in the design and manufacture of rotary dies, modules and converting systems for over 30 years. The nomination noted that Bernal has demonstrated leadership and customer service in the areas of application engineering, design and research and development.   Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Paul Madill has served as a member of the board of directors, the Executive Committee and the Show Policy Subcommittee, and as chairman of the Audit and Programs and Meetings Committees.   Nominations for the Gegenheimer awards may be made by any NPES member company.
