SGIA’s Dye-Sublimation Workshop Attracts International Attention

Press release from the issuing company

SGIA’s sold-out Workshop, “Dye Sublimation: Basic to Advanced,” afforded students the opportunity to explore the science behind sublimation technology and how it can add value to their existing product line.

Lead by Gans Ink’s Syd Northup and Johnson Plastics’ John Barker, this two-day Workshop covered the full spectrum of dye-sublimation technology for graphic imagers and garment decorators. Students were instructed on topics ranging from equipment, software and consumables for every budget, to troubleshooting techniques and how to achieve great color.

The Workshop, which took place November 3-4, was an overall success, attracting students from around the world to SGIA's state-of-the-art laboratory in Fairfax, Virginia for two days of lecture and hands-on exercises.

Elsy Mejia, of Intradeco Apparel, had this to say: “I’m here, all the way from El Salvador, because I work for a printing company and we are trying to get into the sublimation market. The instructors have offered a lot of great information; the class has really exceeded my expectations.”

Look out for your next opportunity to take advantage of this popular Workshop, and other educational opportunities, in 2012; visit SGIA.org, Keyword: Events.
