ROI Technologies buys American Label Company

Press release from the issuing company

October 20, 2003 -- ROI Technologies, Inc. of Baltimore, MD has acquired selected assets of American Label Company of East Hanover, NJ. The acquisition by ROI, listed in the top 50 largest label converters in the country, was completed in late September. Production will be centralized in ROI’s modern facility in Baltimore. Joseph Ramsey, the former president of American Label Company, has joined ROI Technologies as their representative and has opened a new sales office in New Jersey to service NY metro area accounts. The acquisition adds both UV flexo and UV screen technology to ROI’s already impressive capabilities in unsupported films, pressure sensitive labels, and direct mail printing. “This purchase expands our ability to service our clients with up to 13 colors plus hot foil stamping in either of two stations, all in one pass through the press,” according to Tim Roberts, President of ROI. “The addition of in-house screen making capability complements the expansion in our prepress department which was already underway. We now can provide prepress service for all the printing processes we offer to our clients under one roof,” says Roberts. “This transaction was the result of an extensive search to find the right company to utilize the advanced technology at American Label Company, and provide added services to their existing client base,” stated Mark R. Hahn of Graphic Arts Advisors, the consulting firm who introduced the companies.
