GMC Software Named Leader in Document Output for Customer Communication Management

Press release from the issuing company

Boston, Massachusetts and Appenzell, Switzerland – GMC Software Technology, a leader in customer communications and output management solutions, today announced that the company has been positioned as a leader in the recent report by Forrester Research, Inc., titled "The Forrester Wave: Document Output For Customer Communications Management, Q3 2011." (September 14, 2011). In addition, as a first time participant in The Forrester Wave, the report also cited GMC for "strong overall product flexibility and strength for creative apps." The full report can be found on the GMC website at www.gmc.net or by contacting your local GMC sales office.

Based on product evaluations that include vendor and customer interviews, Forrester's 36-point criteria evaluation of 12 vendors, found improved product capabilities to support structured, interactive and on-demand segments for customer communications. Vendor evaluation criteria were divided into three high-level groups, which included assessment of a vendor's current offering, strategy, and market presence in the Document Output For Customer Communications Management (DOCCM) market.

Positioning GMC as a leader in DOCCM, the report states "Marketing campaigns still dominate GMC's overall customer base, but GMC is now being viewed for interactive support across all use cases and has become a short-listed vendor in the mainstream market." The report also grants GMC with one of the highest scores for Authoring and Document Design at 4.40 out of 5 and Business Empowerment at 5 out of 5.

"As a first time participant in the Forrester Wave, we are honored to have been positioned as a leader in the DOCCM market," said Bill Parker, Chief Marketing Officer at GMC Software Technology. "With a focus on innovation and new capabilities such as customer preference analytics, we are confident that we will further strengthen our leadership position and continue to deliver the best solutions and results for our clients".

The Forrester Wave report also states "During the next five years, there will be powerful and transformational DOCCM platforms built on advanced authoring, workflow, business rules, analytics, and integration with enterprise marketing platforms. These will emerge as true enterprise solutions and fulfill requirements across all DOCCM segments."
