Think On Paper Series Attracts Sponsors To Promote Color Variable Data Print
Press release from the issuing company
YORKTOWN HTS, NY, (October 9, 2003)– SIG3 Events announced today the sponsors for its Think on Paper educational series scheduled for November, 2003. Primary sponsorship funding will be provided by Scitex Digital Printing and Konica Minolta Business Solutions USA, Inc. Secondary sponsors include: Heidelberg, Printsoft Americas, Exstream Software, Innes Publishing, Imtek and Graphic Arts Monthly.
To help bring the educational series to six American cities this fall, sponsoring companies have provided funding and services, including printing, print file generation, mail fulfillment and, in Chicago, the venue for the seminar is a vendor contribution.
SIG3 Events partnered with INTERQUEST earlier this year to co-produce a series of seminars around the country focused on education in the variable data print technologies. The initial series is titled “Profiting with Color Variable Data Print” and will take place in six cities during a two week period this November.
“We are very happy to support this type of educational forum in the marketplace. Both print providers and print buyers have been telling us they need more specific knowledge of the technologies available to help them grow their business, and these seminars will present a win-win for both the vendors and the buyers,” said Kazem Samandari, vice president, global marketing and product management for Scitex Digital Printing.
This first series of seminars takes the fundamental content of a market report first produced earlier this year by INTERQUEST, “Implementing Color Variable Data Printing”, and tailors it for the specific needs of commercial printers, service bureaus and in-plant printers. It also makes extensive use of user panels and case studies to show print providers how to implement and profit from new technologies.
William H. Brewster, Jr., vice president, marketing for Konica Minolta Business Solutions USA, said, “Variable data printing presents an enormous opportunity for the printing industry and we are excited to play a role in educating the industry on the how to leverage the process and the market. We had a great response to a roadshow earlier this year that showcased the power of color and we are looking forward to going back on the road to help advance this market.”
“Profiting with Color Variable Data Print” will take place on the following dates:
November 10, Boston, MA; November 12, New York City; November 14, Washington, DC; November 17, Chicago, IL; November 19, San Francisco, CA; November 21, Los Angeles, CA. Full agenda, registration and venue details are available at www.thinkonpaper.net.
