College Park, MD; October 6, 2003 - Advent 3B2 today announced a number of strategic senior management appointments intended to strengthen the company's North American operations and further enhance its position as a leading supplier of publishing software and XML publishing solutions worldwide.
Effective immediately, a new management team composed of senior operations, technical and marketing management representatives has been put in place to spearhead a growth push which will include the expansion of the company's direct sales force and the development of indirect sales channels in North America.
Joining Advent 3B2 in the position of Senior Vice President of North American Operations is Joe Bria. Joe has considerable executive expertise in all facets of strategic planning, technology developments, e-commerce, partnership management, information-management, sales and marketing, and product development. He spent 36 years with Jane's Information Group, a Division of the Thomson Corporation in board-level positions including; Chief Internet Officer (CIO), Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Managing Director of the Jane's North America Operation where he helped to transformed this traditional print publisher to a high-profile provider of electronic information solutions.
Leo Knapp has assumed the role of Vice President of Technology at 3B2, Inc. Leo's expertise includes business development, sales and marketing as well as technical review of software companies and their products and markets. Knapp has lead sales and technology teams for numerous companies including Omen Inc., an organization focused on creating and deploying sophisticated knowledge management solutions for the US Intelligence Community and commercial clients like KPMG and McGraw-Hill. He also worked with Paracel, Verity, Frame Technology, Agfa-Compugraphic and Harris Corporation.
