Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom; (September 01, 2008)  -MetalFX Technology-a Ciba Corporation subsidiary-has received the prestigious PIA/GATF InterTech Technology Award.  The award acknowledges the significant advancement made in metallic printing through use of the patented MetalFX process.  MetalFX was one of only ten innovative technologies honored from among 28 technologies evaluated for the 2008 competition.  In selecting MetalFX, the PIA/GATF InterTech Technology Award judges commented: "This is an innovative technology that allows the increased use of metallics in the printing industry.  It is a technology that people now ask for by name and there is great customer feedback when printers and designers work with it."
