FTA INFO*FLEX/Forums takes place on April 30–May 3, 2011, at the Indianapolis Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind. Kodak invites attendees to the Forum Preview Reception on April 30, 2011, for an evening of networking and a preview of what Kodak will share at Forum 2011. "Today's label and packaging printers and brand owners are continually looking for ways to do more with less-specifically with regards to flexo printing," noted Dr. Anderson. "INFO*FLEX Expo is the perfect opportunity for our customers to learn about our latest technologies, best practices and recent successes. We're excited to work side-by-side with our customers to show strong growth and provide exciting opportunities around every corner."

Scheduled to speak at this year's conference is Nick Brunk, National Sales Manager, Packaging Segment, Kodak. Brunk's presentation, titled "More with Less: A Flexography Fable," will take place at the INFO*FLEX Forum Presentation Theater on Monday, May 2 and Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 4:05 to 4:20 p.m. On Monday, May 2, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Jean Engelke, past Chair of Forum and current Future Product Marketing Manager at Kodak, will speak at the Flexo Quality Consortium (FQC) Session.

Kodak will offer attendees a preview of the new KODAK SPOTLESS Flexographic Solutions-an intuitive, customer friendly solution for the generation of accurate process color recipes for spot color replacement in flexo printing. The solution enables customers to more easily take advantage of the expanded color gamut, production efficiency and cost saving benefits enabled by KODAK FLEXCEL NX Plate technology.

KODAK FLEXCEL NX Plates, through greater print stability, higher densities and expanded color gamut, enable greater use of four color process printing and replacement of many spot colors. In order to take advantage of this opportunity, accurate recipes for spot color replacement are required that take into account the unique highlight characteristics (minimum printed dot) of wide web flexo printing. The KODAK SPOTLESS Flexographic Solutions enable characterization of specific print conditions and the generation of recipe libraries for spot color replacement.

Kodak recently expanded its family of flexo solutions, introducing the KODAK FLEXCEL SRX System and previewing the KODAK FLEXCEL NX Wide System. These new devices join the award-winning KODAK FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexographic System in the KODAK Flexographic Product line, addressing different needs-from narrow to wide formats-in the very diverse package printing market. Regardless of the design or line screen, KODAK FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexographic Plates with InterTech Award-winning KODAK DIGICAP NX Screening enable higher print densities, better print contrast, and cleaner tones for a broad range of applications while improving production efficiencies and reducing costs.

For packaging proofing needs, the KODAK APPROVAL NX Digital Color Imaging System provides a robust, proven option for packaging professionals. Optimized for the FLEXCEL NX System, it enables package printers to reduce time to market, save money on flexographic plates, and more accurately meet customer expectations with digital proofs matching color and imaging on press.

Leveraging the power of KODAK Unified Workflow Solutions, which include KODAK PRINERGY POWERPACK Workflow, KODAK INSITE Solutions and KODAK COLORFLOW Software, package printers have a robust, modular and scalable solution that can streamline production while reducing cost and improving efficiency.

"We're excited to share our diverse portfolio of packaging solutions with our customers to demonstrate the KODAK FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexographic System's improved production efficiencies, superior print quality, higher densities, more vibrant colors, and consistent results." said Brunk.

Kodak also provides a number of services for packaging customers using the FLEXCEL NX System, DIGICAP NX Screening and KODAK DITR Film, including implementation, start-up assistance, training and coaching.
