Advanced Direct utilizes GMC’s Storefront Solution

Press release from the issuing company

Boston, Massachusetts and Appenzell, Switzerland-- GMC Software Technology, the standard in personalized communications, today announced that Advanced Direct (ADI) will be saving one of its’ clients hundreds of thousands of dollars annually in postage costs alone using GMC’s Storefront Solution. Advanced Direct was an earlier adopter of GMC’s Storefront Solution, purchasing their first license just prior to the Solution introduction at Print 09.

Advanced Direct (www.advdirectinc.com) is a full service direct marketing and mail production company. ADI is headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina with additional sales and marketing offices in Raleigh, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia.  Having their manufacturing facilities in Greensboro, home to one of only 21 bulk mail centers in the U.S., gives them a distinct advantage in providing mail services to their clients. In addition to Greensboro being one of the largest logistic hubs in the Eastern U.S., the Greensboro Bulk Mail Center also serves as the Southeast headquarters for the United States Postal Service. “Currently, we have a customer with over 1000 locations and mailing 9,000,000 pieces annually, who plans on using our implementation of GMC’s Storefront Solution,” said Doug Dula, Director of Technology at Advanced Direct. “As a result, even using first-class rates, we project on saving them close to $700,000 in postage savings annually while adhering to their corporate brand standards and the government’s compliance regulations.”

GMC’s Storefront Solution simplifies the process of print management and opens the door for print service providers to implement efficient, web-enabled storefronts for the creation, ordering, and printing of personalized variable data documents and multi-channel campaigns. Enterprises gain more flexibility and faster results by having easier access to all the variable components required to do anything from personalized business cards to implementing fully localized marketing campaigns that are consistent with corporate and brand guidelines. Enterprises can benefit further from complete cost control with decentralized creation, order entry and output. GMC’s Storefront Solution is seen as a business enabler allowing print service providers to drive digital print volumes and enterprises to manage off-contract print spend.

“Advanced Direct is our first production customer in North America to license GMC Storefront Solution” said Michael Watts, President, North America, GMC Software Technology. “In addition, Advanced Direct understood the strategic importance on being able to offer more than a simple Web-to-Print Solution for their clients implementing their own ‘intelligent mail handling’ that will save those clients significant postage and related mailing costs.”
