Taylor Publishing achieves plate imaging milestone

Press release from the issuing company

Chicago - Dallas-based Taylor Publishing uses a lot of printing plates. But earlier this year, the company reached a new level of productivity, imaging 25,669 40-inch plates in just six days. For this achievement, Taylor Publishing was honored by executives from Kodak and xpedx at Graph Expo.

Taylor Publishing is a national book publisher, working primarily in the high school and college yearbook market, but also producing high-end commercial books. The company uses KODAK TRENDSETTER 800V Platesetters, KODAK TRENDSETTER NEWS Platesetters, and KODAK SWORD Plates, all managed by KODAK PRINERGY Workflow for its plate production. Spring is always a busy time in the yearbook business, but the week of April 4-10, 2010 yielded the numbers unlike any in the company's history.

"We wouldn't be celebrating this accomplishment without our hardworking production staff that keeps things moving for us on the floor," noted Steve Templin, Director of Printing and Imaging, Taylor Publishing. "These professionals take a lot of pride in their work and are truly a key part of the company's success."
