Press release from the issuing company

Boston, Massachusetts and Appenzell, Switzerland - GMC Software Technology, the standard in personalized communication, today announced that Advanced Xerographics Imaging Systems, Inc. (AXIS Data Solutions and AXIS Inc.) can now greatly speed application development and custom programming times with GMC Software Technology.

Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, with additional production facilities in Albuquerque, New Mexico, AXIS, Inc. is an award winning service firm specializing in projects that are proprietary in nature. Since 1991, AXIS, Inc. has delivered unsurpassed excellence in data programming, variable data printing, mail processing and e-business applications that meet the expanding needs of financial institutions, government entities and corporations throughout the United States. The company serves a growing list of customers in a variety of industries, with a strong focus in financial institutions including banks and credit unions, wholesale distributors, energy cooperatives and utilities, tax agencies, property appraisers, election supervisors, clerk of courts and vacation ownership companies.

"Despite significant staffing and expertise, the complexities of customized programming were catching up with us on a number of our client's projects," said David R. Salazar, President/Chief Executive Officer of AXIS, Inc." In addition, we often needed to repurpose our client's legacy files, including native design layouts and print-ready files."

Using a number of GMC's software products, AXIS, Inc. was able to significantly reduce processing times as well as adhere to a standardized methodology for developing complex transactional applications such as bank statements with faster turn-around times going into production. AXIS, Inc. was also able to repurpose legacy creative work from InDesign or PDF files, as well as the ability to mine data from client supplied print-ready files. In addition, AXIS, Inc. was also able to take advantage of GMC's ability to support multi-channel output for online presentment and archiving.

"We are honored that AXIS, Inc. turned to GMC Software Technology to accelerate and streamline their application development time," said Michael Watts, President, North America, GMC Software Technology. "We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship."
