August 25, 2003 -- Sarah Harvey has been appointed as IIR Exhibition’s new head of marketing, overseeing the delivery of IIR’s expanding portfolio of European events with specific responsibility for the marketing of IPEX 2006.
Sarah entered the exhibition industry over six years ago starting her career with Reed Exhibitions. From there she moved to Freshrm, the joint venture between Reed Exhibitions and Montgomery Exhibitions. She spent over three years as senior marketing manager, managing significant marketing budgets, a large team and contributing to the strategic development of the business. Sarah has had extensive exhibition marketing experience managing the campaigns for both large international events like Hotelympia and IFE, as well as new launches such as the Speciality and Fine Food show.
“I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to work on such a truly world class, prestigious event as IPEX,” said Sarah. “The sheer scale and internationalism of the event and the dynamic nature of the graphic arts business makes this job a real challenge. There is a strong team in place here and I am keen to get to grips with the industry and work on the official launch of the event early next year.”
David Wood, Regional Managing Director for IIR commented: “This is a key appointment for IIR and we are delighted that we are able to attract someone of Sarah’s calibre. She will make a significant contribution to our business.”
