WAM!NET to close 4 SIGHT in September

August 13, 2003 -- (WhatTheyThink.com) -- WAMNET's 4 SIGHT business released the following statement on Monday: “We regret to inform you that the 4 SIGHT business will close on September the 12th. Technical support is available from the Technical Support pages on this site. This will continue until December 31st 2003 while we search for an organization to provide ongoing support.” The closure will result in the loss of about 18 jobs. 4 Sight was founded in the UK in 1989, to develop software applications for the Apple Macintosh platform. It became the product division of WAM!NET Inc and and provided client server communications solutions for the graphics arts industry on both Apple Macintosh and PC platforms. Recently, WAM!NET’s commercial business was sold to SAVVIS for $3 million.
