Lucid Dream Signs Technology Agreement with Global Graphics
Press release from the issuing company
HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL, August 12, 2003-Lucid Dream Software, Inc., a major developer of cutting-edge software for prepress and production workflows, recently signed a technology agreement with Global Graphics Software, a world-leader in high-performance printing and publishing technologies as well as electronic document management. The agreement allows Lucid Dream to incorporate Jaws PDF Courier 1.2 in the next version of its OnTimeProof Web-based remote job approval system, to be introduced at Graph Expo and Converting Expo in September, booth #4548.
"Integrating Jaws PDF Courier into OnTimeProof significantly boosts its capabilities," says David Lewis, president, Lucid Dream Software. "It also adds a critical "Job Submission and Delivery" function to OnTimeProof's soft proofing features, enhancing it as an easy to implement, fully self-contained solution for viewing, collaborating, commenting - and now "submitting" print jobs online."
Jaws PDF Courier 1.2 is an enhanced version of Global Graphics software for customized creation and Internet-based delivery of documents in Portable Document Format (PDF). It places preflighting upstream at customer sites to assure print service providers that the PDF files they receive can be printed. Easy to deploy, the addition of comprehensive and affordable preflighting makes highly automated, efficient workflows a reality for virtually any print service provider and any production workflow -- from corporate in-plant and quick printing to digital printing and CTP for high-end applications. It
also includes higher security, additional page sizes, improved color handling and accuracy, and support for PDF 1.4 and Enfocus Certified PDF workflows.
Lucid Dream's OnTimeProof remote proofing system is ideal for today's print providers. It is designed for use within a variety of production workflows, including Heidelberg Delta RIP, Harlequin ScriptWorks RIP, and many other workflows. OnTimeProof allows users to view proofs of RIPped jobs on line using a standard Web browser, and to collaboratively annotate their files during the proofing process, cutting costs and speeding workflow.
