Greenerprinter uses HP Indigo 7000 digital press to deliver high-quality output on digital printing

Press release from the issuing company

Berkeley, CA – Greenerprinter, a leading provider of online green printing, has installed an HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press to drive new application opportunities that require high print quality, quick turnaround and variable data capabilities.

Greenerprinter is a high-quality commercial printer that offers sustainable printing and mailing services, primarily using recycled paper and soy- and vegetable-based inks. As a Certified Green Business, Greenerprinter is committed to minimizing the environmental impact of printing and goes through third-party audits of its energy usage, water conservation, and other areas.

Seeking to expand into new markets, Berkeley, CA-based Greenerprinter selected the HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press because of its print quality, speed, durability, ease-of-use and reliability. After installing the press in August, the company expanded into new application areas including shorter run greeting cards, invitations, as well as multi-page pieces such as photo books, calendars, booklets, and catalogs.

"Greenerprinter is innovating its business with the expansion of its digital printing technology to include the HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press," said Mario Assadi, CEO and President of Greenerprinter. "In an economy where shorter run lengths and inventory control are becoming increasingly important, the ability for Greenerprinter to deliver high-quality output with a short turnaround time and augment this with our long-run Heidelberg offset presses will help the company to win new accounts and grow its business with current clients."

The HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press offers fast production speeds and up to 7-color printing capabilities, allowing for fast turnarounds and lower costs without sacrificing quality. In addition, power consumption is reduced by 25% per printed page compared to previous presses and an imaging oil recycling system enables a reduction of approximately 50% in consumption and waste.

"Our long-term strategy is to be green both in business practices and in production. The HP Indigo 7000 is in line with our green initiatives and also helps to reduce costs," Assadi said.
