ROLAND 900 impresses leading Slovakian packaging printer

Press release from the issuing company

Large-format manroland press starts up at Grafobal

Slovakia has two things to be pleased about: firstly, the country looks forward to its first participation in a Football World Cup, the 2010 event. Secondly, Grafobal as in Skalica, at the foot of the White Carpathians, installed a five-color ROLAND 900 with coating module.

Grafobal is one of the leading packaging printing groups in Central and Eastern Europe and has received many awards for outstanding business and printing performance. The group's printing facility in Skalica specializes in producing packaging made from carton and corrugated board. Also printed here are labels, calendars, posters, advertising materials, and puzzles. Grafobal expected a lot from this new investment and was looking to increase its production capacity in Skalica and ensure on-time delivery to customers. Equipped with among other things the AUPASYS logistics system and printservices products such as TelePresence and the ROLAND InlineInspector, the ROLAND 900 with coating module took care of both these requirements. Besides the ROLAND 900, Grafobal ordered a seven-color ROLAND 700 HiPrint with double coater which is currently being installed in Skalica.

Grafobal has produced packaging in Skalica since 1905. Today the group delivers quality packaging to international customers from its production sites in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, and Russia.
