CIP4 and PIA/GATF confirm Dynagram's inpO2 as JDF-certified

Press release from the issuing company

Quebec, Canada, May 27 2008: Dynagram, the provider of the widest range of imposition solutions, announced today that the International Cooperation for the Integration of the Processes in Prepress, Press and Postpress (CIP4) organization and Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF) have officially approved inpO2 version 3.0 as being CIP4-certified.

This certification attests to the interoperability of inpO2 with other JDF-enabled consumers of imposition layouts, such as RIPs and prepress workflows.  This means that the JDF imposition file produced by inpO2 can be seamlessly used by components of the workflow that are based on the JDF technology.  inpO2 has been specifically tested  for conformance to the "Layout Creator to Imposition" ICS document, using JDF version 1.3.

''inp02 was a very easy program to access and understand. The layouts were easy to produce and view while the necessary changes can be made on screen with a click of the mouse. It is a very nice program,'' commented Brandon Iskey, Computational Research Scientist at PIA/GATF.

"Dynagram is an early adopter and strong believer in the JDF standard. We are proud to have successfully completed the PIA/GATF certification process to bring our inpO2 product to the next level in interoperability conformance," explained Chantal Lemay, Director of R&D at Dynagram. ''During the past years, JDF emerged with a mandate for overall connectivity and automation. Now that JDF is gaining popularity in real production environments, we realize that the traditional imposition tool is more important than ever to streamline data exchange between processes, while keeping complete control over the imposition layout. For that reason, we are committed in continuing to collaborate with the CIP4 organization in their JDF effort regarding the imposition process,'' continued Ms Lemay.
