Kodak’s CMO joins The Print Council Executive Committee

ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 21-The Print Council, a business development alliance dedicated to promoting the greater use of print media, named Kevin Joyce, Chief Marketing Officer, Kodak's Graphic Communications Group, to its Executive Committee. Formed by leaders across the spectrum of the graphic arts industry, The Print Council's mission is to increase industry awareness through education, market development, advocacy, and research.

Responsible for advising The Print Council on its actions and initiatives, the Executive Committee governs theorganization and provides ongoing expertise for its membership. The Print Council provides a variety of resources and services, such as research projects, advertising campaigns, and business development support.

"The Print Council serves our industry admirably, and to have the opportunity to participate in its executive leadership is certainly an honor. I look forward to being involved in the activities designed to promote print media and in helping raise awareness of its power for marketers and communicators," said Joyce. "Print plays a key role in today's successful multimedia campaigns, and is amazing in its ability to adapt and meet the changing needs of society. There is a lot to be excited about in this industry, and The Print Council gives us all a stronger voice."

The organization works closely with many industry associations and relevant user groups that share common goals. Its founding members represent a range of industry interests from commercial printers to industry suppliers and software and services providers.

"We are thrilled to have someone of Kevin's stature and background agree to serve on the Executive Committee of The Print Council. He brings a breadth of experience that few can match," noted Ben Cooper, Executive Director of The Print Council. "Of course, Kodak has been a strong partner in the development of The Print Council and the partnership we have with the Printing Industry Center at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Kevin's commitment to The Print Council assures that we will continue to get guidance and direction from the best in the industry."

Most recently, The Print Council has designed and produced a 24 page marketing brochure entitled "Why Print," which demonstrates the value and effectiveness of print communications. In addition, the organization is funding a new website, "Print in the Mix-A Clearinghouse of Research on Print Media Effectiveness," which is managed at the Rochester Institute of Technology and is supported by six universities from around the United States and Canada.
