(Nashville, TN – May 19, 2008) – Network PDF, in collaboration with Finishing Experts Group, Inc., the creators of the GATF InterTech Award-winning FOLDRite system, will be announcing the relaunch of www.foldfactory.com at the HOW Design Conference May 18. The new foldfactory.com offers a community format, which will provide a place for designers and print professionals to discuss issues and share information, tools and resources through blogs, forums, a wiki-style article editor, a store, online surveys, and a folding fanatics page.

Communication is a big part of the business model for this newly revamped site. "We wanted to open up the lines of communication between designers, binders, printers, bindery equipment manufacturers, and paper companies" states Trish Witkowski, president of Finishing Experts Group, Inc. "and to create a place where people could go to get cool ideas, to talk shop, or to express an opinion. We also wanted to provide a service, which is to offer custom single template downloads using our industry-approved FOLDRite system."

The paper industry is also impressed with foldfactory's offerings. Launched in 2002 by Finishing Experts Group, Inc. (FEG), the FOLDRite system was the product of seven years of print industry research. FOLDRite documents 186 folding styles in total and is the only brochure folding classification system in the industry today. In 2004, FEG launched www.foldfactory.com, a subscription-based online custom digital template creator. In 2004, FOLDRite was awarded the GATF InterTech Award for innovative excellence. In the years since, FEG has partnered with Network PDF to develop and market FOLDRite  products for the graphic arts industry.

Network PDF and FEG recently launched FOLDRite Template Master for Adobe InDesign, a revolutionary software plug-in that creates custom FOLDRite templates directly through InDesign. At the same time, they were developing the new foldfactory.com, switching from a subscription-based service to one where users can create instant single template downloads on the fly.
