Xplorers receive Document Production Fundamentals certificate

Press release from the issuing company

Richardson, Texas, March 21, 2008 – Fifteen attendees have been the first to be awarded the Document Production Fundamentals certificate and two Continuing Education Units (CEUs) at the 'Document Production Fundamentals' workshop during the recent Xplor conference 2008 in Boston. The program is the first of its kind in the electronic document industry and provides industry professionals the opportunity to earn approved CEUs while attending industry educational seminars. The successful attendees were awarded based on examination and the completion of all requirements for Document Production Fundamentals.

Over sixty people attended one or more of the workshop classes.

The new workshop was developed and taught through the collaboration of industry experts Bill Broddy edp, William J. 'Bill' McCalpin edp, and Michael Turton edp.

The workshop introduces industry professionals to the fundamental concepts, technologies, and workflow of today's automated transaction document production, without vendor bias. The classes take attendees from Data to Doorstep. At the end of the course, attendees understand key terminology within document production and are able to connect process steps conceptually.

"We are excited to see so many of our colleagues investing in professional skills improvement," said Angie Winn, EDP Commission Chair. "It provides an excellent path to their EDP certification."
