Poligrafico Roggero & Tortia chooses InfoPrint 5000

Press release from the issuing company

Milan, January 28, 2008 - InfoPrint Solutions Company, a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh, today announced that Poligrafico Roggero & Tortia, one of the largest high tech graphic arts organizations in Europe, has installed multiple full color InfoPrint 5000 production engines.

The InfoPrint 5000 uses piezo-electric drop-on-demand inkjet printhead technology, making it ideal for Poligrafico Roggero & Tortia to produce TransPromo output, the transformation of traditional transactional documents such as statements into high-value communications by incorporating relevant personalized marketing content. The targeted materials can be based on consumers' purchasing behavior, for example to promote products, services, and brand loyalty.

According to Riccardo Pesce, Managing Director Poligrafico Roggero & Tortia: "Consumers responded positively to TransPromo communications, because they are one-to-each and highly personalized; the ultimate proof that enterprises care about their end users. In order to comply with local regulations, outsourcers and printers have to use output solutions rich in functionalities. We believe TransPromo is a new business opportunity for us, thanks to the InfoPrint 5000. Our relationship with InfoPrint Solutions Company is a great step forward and we are satisfied to have selected InfoPrint as our trusted technology partner."

InfoPrint Solutions Company offers color and monochrome TransPromo integrated solutions for production and distributed environments. The InfoPrint Professional Services Team was able to support Poligrafico Roggero & Tortia in designing and delivering the TransPromo project, providing a solution able to give Poligrafico's customers a competitive advantage, reinforce their brand, and offering the opportunity to sell via multi-channel marketing actions.

InfoPrint 5000 produces color output with variable data, and competitive levels of speed, quality and price without the need of highly skilled operators, giving Poligrafico Roggero & Tortia superior service levels in color output.

"We are proud that Poligrafico Roggero & Tortia believed in our solutions.  This confirms our vision: a letter enhanced with color and an attractive layout has an emotional impact stronger than an electronic communication," says Moreno Tartaglini, Managing Director Mediterranean Region for InfoPrint Solutions Company. "Despite of all the paperless opportunities available today, printed communications will continue to exist. It is up to us to provide our customers with new ideas to use paper in smart and cost effective ways."

Poligrafico Roggero & Tortia serves enterprises across Italy and in France - working in partnership with PRT France - across vertical sectors including financial services, insurance, utilities, government, non-profit, industrial, editorial and advertising. In 2007 the company's turnover was around 15 million Euro.
