Global Imaging Acquires Image Quest Inc

Press release from the issuing company

Tuesday November 20, 2007 - TAMPA, Fla. - Global Imaging Systems, Inc., a Xerox company, has expanded its growing network of office technology suppliers into Kansas with the acquisition of Wichita-based Image Quest Inc.
The acquisition, Global's first in the Sunflower State, furthers the company's strategy of supporting small and mid-size business customers across the country.
In addition to its Wichita headquarters, Image Quest has locations in Topeka, Lenexa and Salina, from where it supplies more than 3,500 customers with office printing and scanning devices from Savin and Canon. Image Quest, which becomes a core company for Global, will continue to service those customers as it begins offering Xerox's full range of office printing equipment.
"Image Quest's history of superior customer service is directly in line with Global's philosophy," said Michael Shea, president and CEO of Global. "It is the kind of company and management team that the industry has come to expect from us and is the perfect company to help us establish a presence in the great state of Kansas."
"The acquisition is a win-win for Image Quest and its customers, and means growth for both," said Mark Lindquist, president of Image Quest, and will report to Shea. "Our company is committed to helping our customers grow, and this acquisition gives us the additional muscle through great technology, service and support to make it happen even more."
Image Quest founder, Bob Hughey, who started the company in 1995, will remain with the company in an advisory role. "The strength of Xerox's equipment and supplies and Global's commitment to the customer is an unbeatable combination," said Hughey. "We're now able to offer our customers the broadest portfolio of products and services in the industry, as well as the great service they've come to expect from us for years."
