GMC Software Technology to Showcase PrintNet Solutions Suite at Hunkeler innovationdays 2007
Press release from the issuing company
February 1, 2007 – Lucerne and Appenzel, Switzerland – GMC Software Technology, setting the New Standard in personalized communications, today announced that it will showcase a range of new version enhancements to its PrintNet solutions suite during the Hunkeler innovationdays 2007 being held in Lucerne, Switzerland, from February 5 through 8. During the show, GMC will present a range of PrintNet personalized document design and production application demonstrations including joint demonstrations with Xerox and Kern.
GMC PrintNet is a completely integrated, end-to-end software solution for the design, production and delivery of multi-channel personalized communications. It provides a single platform for producing all types of personalized documents — statements, invoices, bills, direct mail, marketing documents, catalogs, campaign kits, booklets and trans-promotional materials — for print and electronic delivery.
Among the many new PrintNet enhancements that GMC will preview at innovationdays 2007 are:
Web-based interactive document creation/editing
• Provides event-driven document creation based on standard templates
• End-users can add or modify content such as images, free-flow text or scripted messages
• Supports Flash and non-Flash environments
Advanced PDF capabilities
• Import of PDF files as a group of editable objects, not just image files
• PDF to anything support (output directly to print protocols without pre-conversion)
In addition, GMC and Kern will jointly exhibit PrintNet and Kern’s mailFactory solution for zero defect production capabilities that include:
• Monitoring of production processes
• Seamless checking and logging of the mailing process
• Required / actual comparisons
• Automatic follow-up production
• Redundancy control (prevents production of duplicates)
• Controlled multi-channel dispatch
PrintNet is built on open standards for integration into existing technology environments, with the flexibility and scalability to grow as a business grows. It supports an extremely broad range of input, design, output and operating system environments, and features ease of use and implementation that eliminates the need for advanced programming skills.
“Our latest round of product enhancements and combined partner offerings demonstrate our commitment to provide our customers with the most reliable, complete and forward-thinking solutions to all their personalized document needs,” said Dr. René Müller, CEO of GMC Software AG. “These enhancements are intended to immediately improve communication processes and reduce response times, while cutting costs for our customers.”
