Kodak Focuses on Helping Packaging Printers Grow at FFTA's 2006 Prepress Conference

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 3 -- Attendees at the Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association (FFTA) 2006 Prepress Conference will learn about the latest KODAK solutions, as well as hear from a Kodak expert on ways to manage a more profitable business. In addition to speaking at the conference and exhibiting, Kodak serves as a sponsor. The event, entitled "Integrated Technologies: Prepress in North America & Europe with CPC Insight," takes place Oct. 5-6 at the Hilton Raleigh-Durham Airport at Research Triangle Park, Durham, N.C. "Our members face increasing customer demands for tighter turnaround times on more complex jobs," said Jay Kaible, Director of Business Development, Flexographic Technical Association. "Kodak's participation in the FFTA conference as a presenter, exhibitor and sponsor gives attendees an excellent opportunity to learn how KODAK solutions can help them grow their business." At 8:10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, Steve Miller, Product Manager, Packaging Workflow, Kodak's Graphic Communications Group, will review the evolution and adoption of PDF and present new manufacturing and collaborative techniques based on PDF that will help customers accelerate time to market. In his presentation-"PDF in Packaging: The Future or Today's Reality?"-Miller will share insights on how KODAK software solutions can significantly reduce the time and labor associated with preparing PDF files for production in a packaging environment. "Sponsoring FFTA's event gives Kodak the chance to show its support to our packaging customers and share ideas with other industry leaders," said Vic Stalam, General Manager, Packaging, Kodak's Graphic Communications Group.
