Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 18 -- Facing growing competition in its offset printing services, Herald Printing in New Washington, Ohio, is using Kodak's latest digital production color press to bring in additional revenue streams and separate itself from other printers in the market. The KODAK NEXPRESS 2500 digital production color press boasts speed, productivity and inline features that will allow Herald Printing to enter fresh markets and attract new customers. "After 125 years as a traditional print provider, we're changing our philosophy as a company," said Jim Morgan, Marketing Services Manager, Herald Printing. "The installation of the NEXPRESS 2500 press marks the beginning of a transition for Herald Printing into a marketing solutions company with improved capabilities to better help our customers achieve their communication goals through print." The NEXPRESS 2500 press is designed to deliver greater productivity and reliability, leveraging Kodak's award winning digital production color press technology recognized for its quality, consistency and uptime. Additionally, the NEXPRESS 2500 press comes with a variety of service agreement offerings, delivered by KODAK Service & Support, a leading service provider in the commercial print industry. Herald Printing decided to add a KODAK NEXGLOSSER glossing unit to its NEXPRESS 2500 press, which, along with speed, sheet size and business development support through KODAK MARKETMOVER services, convinced Morgan and Herald Printing's management team to go with the KODAK solution. The KODAK NEXGLOSSER glossing unit features KODAK NEXPRESS clear dry ink that delivers enhanced image quality and a laminate like gloss for higher marketing impact. "Availability of a glossing unit really helped sell us on the NEXPRESS 2500 press because we can offer our customers printing that's in a different league from our competition," explained Morgan. "In addition, Kodak's business development services will help us educate ourselves and our clients about the power of the NEXPRESS 2500 press." Morgan also indicated that the management team at Herald Printing outfitted the new press with the KODAK NEXPRESS fifth imaging unit solution to deliver spot color, watermarking and protective coating. KODAK products are backed by KODAK Service and Support, Kodak's worldwide service organization. Named Best Support Organization at the 2006 International Business Awards, KODAK Service & Support includes more than 3,000 professionals in 120 countries.
