Garner Printing Reports High Satisfaction with Komori

Press release from the issuing company

Rolling Meadows, IL, September 14, 2006 -- Komori America Corporation, a premier manufacturer of sheetfed and web offset printing presses, today announced Garner Printing, a full-service commercial printer, recently installed a six-color Lithrone S40 (LS640) with coater in its Des Moines, Iowa facility. A loyal customer since the early 1980s, this will make the ninth press Garner Printing has purchased from Komori. The advanced automation, consistent quality and high performance history of the presses and the excellent service experience were cited as key drivers in selecting the company's newest Komori press. "Komori matches our own company's impressive reputation for incomparable quality so it has been a great partnership. What sets Garner Printing apart in a competitive market is the combination of unwavering quality coupled with unmatched service. These are the same attributes that set Komori apart as well," said Matt Caltharp, president of Garner Printing. "With the increased demand for applications that include aqueous coating as well as faster turnaround times, this new press adds to our capacity to deliver on those demands and meet very stringent deadlines. The advanced automation of the new press allows us to be up to color in a matter of minutes - virtually three times faster than before-and we know that the product is going to look the way we want it to." Garner Printing reports the new Komori LS640 not only meets its demands for accurate consistent color, high run speeds and value-added UV print capabilities, but it also creates the opportunity for greater business potential with its built-in efficiencies and flexibility. The front-end color control and production control systems substantially decrease makeready times and the press provides a versatility that allows Garner to print on a variety of substrates, from letterhead to 30-inch board. "It has been an honor to be associated with Garner Printing over the years," said Mike VanCalbergh, vice president of sales for Komori's Midwest Region. "They continually stay ahead of the learning curve when it comes to technology and providing customers value-added services leading the way in our industry. Anytime you are associated with the best, it is good news."
