RR Donnelley Awarded Multi-Million Dollar Contract Renewal by Thomas Nelson
Press release from the issuing company
CHICAGO, April 27 -- R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company announced today that it has been awarded a multi-year contract extension to produce 100% of Thomas Nelson's one and two color soft cover trade books. Thomas Nelson, Inc., based in Nashville, Tennessee, is a leading publisher and distributor of products emphasizing Christian, inspirational and family value themes, and believes that it is the largest English-language publisher of Bibles and inspirational products and one of the ten largest publishers overall.
This contract extends a multi-decade, mutually beneficial association. This agreement comes on the heels of the successful transition of soft cover trade book production to RR Donnelley's manufacturing platform, in a move that expanded the companies' relationship last year.
George Gower, Thomas Nelson's Vice President Production & Purchasing stated, "For many years, RR Donnelley has partnered with Thomas Nelson, Inc. to effectively deliver our authors' messages to the market place to help achieve our mission of inspiring the world. We continue to be impressed with the high level of quality and service that we have received from the RR Donnelley organization. When RR Donnelley began producing soft cover trade books last year, we were delighted with the ease in which the work was transferred to their Crawfordsville, Indiana facility. We look forward to the continued relationship as both companies strive to meet the needs of our evolving market place."
John Paloian, RR Donnelley Group President, Publishing & Retail Services commented, "We welcome this opportunity to extend our business with Thomas Nelson, and will continue to provide the resources needed to support their work. This is another example of how the flexibility of our extensive manufacturing platform allows us quickly to respond as our customers' needs change and grow."
