Rolling Meadows, IL, April 6, 2006 -- Komori America Corporation, a premier manufacturer of sheetfed and web offset printing presses, today announced that Gene French has joined the company as district sales manager for a Midwest territory. French will be responsible for the company's corporate sales initiative in northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin and southern Minnesota. French brings to Komori more than 20 years of experience in the graphic arts industry with a successful track record in digital and commercial print technologies and capital equipment sales. French's experience in the print industry includes positions in district sales management for MAN Roland, where he sold the entire sheetfed product line as well as related pre- and post- press components; and Heidelberg USA where he was responsible for the successful market introduction and Midwest sales activity for the company's Direct Imaging printing presses. Most recently, he held the position of graphic arts specialist for Océ USA. There he was responsible for all activity relating to the expansion of market share in the graphic arts segment of digital equipment. “Gene's knowledge of the industry makes him a valuable strategic partner for Komori and its customers,” said Mike VanCalbergh, vice president of sales for Komori's Midwest Region. “He brings expertise in so many areas of the print process, including capital equipment cost justification. This enables him to offer customers solutions that will have a positive impact on their businesses. We warmly welcome him into our Komori family.”
