KODAK MATCHPRINT Digital Halftone Proofing Solutions Streamlines Process of Producing Mid-Range Gloss Levels

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y., March 13 - Customers of KODAK MATCHPRINT Digital Halftone Proofing solutions now have an option that maximizes efficiency in achieving the full range of gloss levels on a proof. Rendering a semi-gloss finish without deglossing, the new KODAK MATCHPRINT Digital Semi-Gloss Receptor provides a more accurate match to print, eliminates a step from the production cycle and reduces the possibility of operator error. The MATCHPRINT Digital Semi-Gloss Receptor produces a semi-gloss finish without requiring any additional color correction or adjustment to a user's current digital halftone proofing system. It complements the current KODAK MATCHPRINT Digital GT4 Receptor, which renders a glossy finish. Both have similar handling characteristics. "The MATCHPRINT Digital Semi-Gloss Receptor increases customer satisfaction by more closely simulating a requested gloss level. It saves time and money by enabling this mid-range gloss level directly on the proof," said Derek Awalt, Global Product Manager, Halftone Proofing, Kodak. "This newest feature reflects our ongoing commitment to continually upgrade our digital halftone proofing capabilities."
