RR Donnelley Awarded $60 Million Multi-Year BOOKSPAN Contract Extensions

CHICAGO, Feb. 15 -- R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company has been awarded multi-year contract extensions by BOOKSPAN, the premier direct marketer of general interest and specialty book clubs. With more than 8 million members, its book clubs include Book-Of-The-Month- Club, The Literary Guild, Quality Paperback Book Club, Doubleday Book Club and more than 40 others. BOOKSPAN's partnership interests are held by Doubleday Direct, Inc., a subsidiary of Bertelsmann Inc. and Book-of-the-Month Club Holdings LLC, a subsidiary of Time Inc.
These contracts, having a projected term value in excess of $60 million, will utilize RR Donnelley's entire North American book manufacturing platform, and extend a mutually beneficial relationship that has been in place with BOOKSPAN predecessor companies for more than 40 years.
