Two new district sales managers will concentrate efforts in Washington DC and southern California KBA North America, a leading supplier of sheetfed offset and digital presses based in Williston, VT, has announced the appointment of two new district sales managers to concentrate their efforts on fast-growing sales territories on the East and West coasts. Richard C. “Dick” Bacon will be overseeing the southern California territory while John Graff will be calling on accounts in the Washington, DC/ DelMarVa locale. West Coast sales experience Dick Bacon has spent 27 years in the printing machinery business in sales and sales management positions. He began his career with R&P/Harris and then switched to a Japanese printing press manufacturer where he rose to the position of vice president of sales overseeing seven western states. Bacon graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in marketing. “My new position with KBA North America affords me the opportunity to represent the widest array of print solutions to the Western Printer”, says Bacon. “No other manufacturer has the variety of machines from digital to high-end commercial and packaging/custom formats. In addition, KBA is focused on outstanding support and customer care. It is exciting to be a part of KBA’s dramatic growth in the print marketplace.” Ink in his veins Printing is in John Graff’s blood. His father owned and operated a printing company where Graff got his early desire to join the printing industry. After graduating from Old Dominion University with a degree in marketing, Graff joined a printing press roller manufacturer then moved to the West Coast as a sales representative for Bobst Group. He later joined a Japanese printing press manufacturer in a sales position for the New Jersey/eastern Pennsylvania region. “I look forward to the opportunity to bring my success as a sales representative to KBA,” says Graff. “I believe KBA is the technology leader in printing press manufacturing today and continues to move forward with innovative systems that address the needs of the broad spectrum of printers in the US.” Additional boost “Having both Dick Bacon and John Graff on our sales team will be an additional boost to our entire nationwide sales effort,” says Ralf Sammeck, KBA North America’s president and CEO. “Both of these men will highly represent KBA’s commitment to producing and installing the very best printing equipment and our desire to partner with our customers and help them to differentiate themselves from their competition.”
