RR Donnelley Agrees to Acquire Spencer Press, Inc.

CHICAGO, Oct. 6 -- R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Spencer Press, Inc., a privately-owned printing company serving the needs of organizations that market their products through catalogs and other direct mailings. The transaction is expected to close during the fourth quarter. Based in Wells, Maine, Spencer Press produces a variety of products including catalogs, press-pasted booklets, free-standing inserts and self-mailers. Spencer Press's capabilities will complement RR Donnelley's existing Catalog and Retail Services platform. "Spencer Press is an ideal fit with RR Donnelley," said Mark A.
