Press release from the issuing company
KBA North America, a leading supplier of sheetfed offset and digital presses based in Williston, VT, is announcing that Marketing Services by Vectra, a Columbus, Ohio commercial printer, has agreed to purchase a KBA Genius 52 UV press. The contract was signed at Print 05 & Converting 05, the largest, most comprehensive event for the commercial, package printing, and converting industry in the world in 2005, taking place September 9-15 at Chicago's McCormick Place. The Genius 52 UV press will be delivered by the end of the year.
The Genius 52 is a 20-inch format press designed for the short-run color market. It can produce the highest print quality with only two transfer points in less than five minutes. The Genius 52 features one-operator ability, ultra short make ready times of less than 5 minutes from approved-sheet to approved-sheet, a unique ability to print on a wide variety of stock up to 32 pt, its high quality print results and the low startup waste of less than 10 sheets.
“The KBA Genius UV 52 press will satisfy a growing market for plastic displays,” says Craig Taylor, president of Marketing Services by Vectra. “This is an ever expanding market and we needed a press that could help us reach this market.”
Marketing Services by Vectra plans to use the Genius 52 UV press to produce plastic display and point-of-purchse displays for its high-profile clients such as Wendy’s International. This will be the firm’s first KBA press.
