KBA North America Installs Rapida 105 Sheetfed Press at Tru-Line Lithographing
Press release from the issuing company
KBA North America, a leading sheetfed offset press manufacturer based in Williston, Vt., is announcing that Tru Line Lithographing, Inc., a general commercial printer located in Racine, Wisc., has installed a KBA Rapida 105 41-inch four-color perfector sheetfed press in September 2004. Tru Line Lithographing is a member of The Garvey Group, a network of seven companies located in Wisconsin and Illinois.
“To maintain our high quality and fast turnaround for our corporate account clients, we realized that we needed to update our pressroom,” says Dave Arnone, Tru Line’s sales manager. “We replaced three older presses (a two-color 40-inch, a two-color perfector, and a six-color 25-inch sheetfed press) with the new KBA Rapida 105 41-inch four-color perfector. This press gives us the flexibility of producing two-over-two jobs or straight four-color work. Plus it now gives us the ability to perfect on coated stock, something we could not do before. Our goal is to be more productive and satisfy our existing customer base.”
Customer satisfaction as well
The new KBA Rapida 105 has been producing live jobs since October 2004. Tru Line’s customers have been satisfied with the new press as well. “We produced two recent jobs that illustrate the flexibility, speed, throughput, and automation of our new Rapida 105,” says Arnone. “One job was for a repeat client that we produce often. But this time, we were able to bill the client less than before because the job was produced so quickly and efficiently on the Rapida 105. Another job produced on the Rapida 105 allowed our customer to save $10,000 on their postage due to our rapid response.”
This is Tru Line Lithographing’s first KBA press. The firm learned about KBA’s efficiency and technology from The Garvey Group, which installed its first KBA press, a Rapida 162 64-inch six-color sheetfed press with UV and hybrid ink capabilities, in March 2004. “The Garvey Group is very satisfied with its KBA Rapida press,” says Arnone. “Our general manager then looked at the KBA Rapida at a trade show and was very pleased with its features, its speed, and its quick makeready.”
Personalized consultative service
“We pride ourselves on providing personalized consultative service to all of our customers,” says Arnone. “We don’t print one job and then move on to the next. Our goal is to be an advocate for our corporate clients and look at their entire business and find the most efficient means to not only print their product but manage the supply chain as well. Our corporate clientele can be mainly found in the Midwest states.”
“We are pleased that Tru Line Lithographing is seeing such remarkable results with its Rapida 105 sheetfed press,” says Ralf Sammeck, president and CEO of KBA North America. “The Rapida 105 will solidify Tru Line’s relationship with its customers and continue to provide the company with fast turnaround and greater flexibility.”
