Press release from the issuing company

PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 18 -- Today North American Publishing Company's PrintMedia Group proudly announces its keynote speaker for the upcoming PrintMedia Conference and Expo, scheduled for March 7-9, 2005, at the New York Hilton. WILLIAM L. ALLEN, Editor-in-Chief, National Geographic magazine, will present the Keynote Address on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at 9 a.m. at the Hilton New York. The Keynote Address is open to all registered attendees. Mr. Allen's keynote will provide a dynamic and candid discussion about the print and new media challenges publishers face now and into the future. Attendees will learn how this publisher faces creative and logistical dilemmas when determining the best media vehicles for content supplied by explorers, scientists, photographers, adventures, and more. They will also hear how the National Geographic Society has advanced the art of magazine and book publishing; how the publisher manages large volumes of diverse content; and get a glimpse into how it produces everything from globally recognized magazines and books to Web content, direct mail, CDs, DVDs and television programming. William L. Allen is the eighth full-time editor of National Geographic Magazine. After taking over the magazine's reins in January 1995, National Geographic has won numerous national awards. In May 2000, the publication received the most distinguished prize in magazine journalism, the National Magazine Award for general excellence, for magazines with a circulation of more than one million. Allen is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and currently serves on the boards of the National Geographic Society, National Space Biomedical Research Institute, Institute of Nautical Archaeology and the National Council of the World Wildlife Fund, among other organizations.
