Williams Printing Breaks Ground for New Facility in Atlanta

ATLANTA – November 15, 2004 – Williams Printing, an RR Donnelley company and one of the South’s premier commercial printers, recently broke ground for a new 130,000 S.F. facility near Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. “Williams Printing has been a fixture in the Atlanta community for 82 years,” said John Pope, President of Williams Printing. “During that time, we have grown from a letter shop to one of the nation’s premier printers. We are very proud of our heritage here, and also very proud of the confidence that our parent company, RR Donnelley, is showing in investing in this new, hi-tech facility.” The new facility will feature state-of-the-art prepress, press and bindery equipment, and will be driven by a digital workflow that will enable Williams Printing to continue responding quickly and accurately to customer needs. “We will offer an enhanced array of products and services to all of our present and future customers,” added Pope. The new facility is expected to be operational in June 2005, and will include this equipment: • 40” 8/color Komori LS with coater • 40” 6/color Komori LS with coater • Heidelberg 400 ST seven-pocket stitcher • Two Polar cutting systems • Rework of prepress workflow from Brisque to Prinergy • 23-9/16 x 38” full-size 6-unit heatset web press w/closed loop color. Williams Printing will be part of the new Camp Creek Business Center development – metro Atlanta’s most accessible business environment, located at the intersection of Camp Creek Parkway and I-285, and just minutes away from the passenger and cargo terminals at Hartsfield-Jackson, Interstates 20, 85 and 75 and less than five hours from the port city of Savannah.
