Press release from the issuing company

CINCINNATI, Ohio – November 10, 2004 — Kodak Versamark, Inc., a part of Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group, today announced that Miami Systems Corporation has purchased and installed the KODAK VERSAMARK VT3000 printing system for high-volume transactional document printing. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Miami Systems Corporation has been in business since 1927 and is now the largest privately held business forms manufacturer in North America. The company will hold an open house on Friday, November 12, to show customers how the KODAK VERSAMARK VT3000 printing system will benefit their clients. The KODAK VERSAMARK VT3000 printing system is capable of producing 100 percent variable data in black, spot color or process color, depending on the configuration. Miami Systems will use the VT3000 system to help clients converge transactional and promotional data into a single document in full variable color, enabling their clients to achieve the highest value possible from their customer communications. "When it comes to a leading edge customer communication tool, Kodak Versamark sets the standard," said Tim Scully, vice president of sales and marketing, Miami Systems Corporation. Miami Systems Corporation’s expansion of our Digital Print Communications Services (DPCS) capabilities to include the VT3000 will offer outstanding quality, the fastest printing speeds and the lowest operating costs of any digital color system available on the market today. Using this technology, our customers will optimize each transactional mailing opportunity through highly personalized content." Miami Systems explored a number of options when they decided to expand their capabilities for high-volume transactional document production. “We saw the uniqueness that Kodak Versamark’s inkjet technology delivers in terms of speed and flexibility as opposed to the traditional toner based system,” Scully explained. “We’re very pleased that Miami Systems has selected Kodak Versamark to be their technology partner as they seek to expand their capabilities and deliver increased value to their customers,” said Ron Gilboa, vice president of marketing, Kodak Versamark. “The process color capability of the VT3000 will enable Miami Systems’ customers to more effectively communicate with their customers, and delivers the performance and cost-effectiveness for Miami Systems to drive growth in the document production marketplace.” The VT3000 can be upgraded from a basic simplex monochrome system to a duplex process color system and every step in between; so that it evolves as customer business needs evolve. The system operates at a base speed of 350 feet-per-minute (107 meters-per-minute), delivering up to 1,526 impressions per minute.
