Press release from the issuing company
Chicago, Ill – GRAPH EXPO (Booth #4024) – October 10, 2004 – Agfa today announced the availability of :Arcadia for North America. :Arcadia is Agfa's new dynamic publishing and asset management system. Along with :ApogeeX and :Delano, :Arcadia is specifically designed for The Graphic Enterprise, focusing on graphic communications and simplifying the complex management of image files. :Arcadia is now shipping.
:Arcadia gives companies the ability to manage the millions of documents and digital files they create and process every year. :Arcadia can help accelerate sales and lower operational costs by providing the ability to access, reuse and distribute content more efficiently and effectively. The technology allows users to work quickly, enhancing productivity, providing additional revenue opportunities and increasing profitability.
"Today's Graphic Enterprise is more reliant on digital technologies than ever. The volume of files is consistently increasing and they and the jobs are becoming larger and more complex," said Chris LaFontaine, Agfa's marketing manager for enterprise systems, North America. "Your customers want the ability to publish these files in other media besides print and need to have access to these files at any given time. Commercial printers can provide this function as an added value service to their customers."
While a powerful technology on its own, when combined with :ApogeeX, Agfa's advanced digital workflow, and :Delano, Agfa's project and resource management system, :Arcadia can deliver the next generation of management and performance for The Graphic Enterprise.
:Arcadia – More Than a Product, a Solution.
Gaining the most from this technology requires a combination of software applications and professional services to deliver a system that best fits the business needs of The Graphic Enterprise. Agfa's comprehensive approach to asset management implementation includes a comprehensive Needs Analysis, software configuration based on those needs and training.
