RR Donnelley Awarded Multi-Year Print and Distribution Outsourcing Contract With CIGNA
Press release from the issuing company
CHICAGO, July 29 -- R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company has been awarded a multi-year print and distribution-outsourcing contract with CIGNA, one of the nation's leading providers of health care, disability, life and accident insurance benefits.
"We are delighted to have this enterprise-wide agreement with CIGNA," said Mark A. Angelson, Chief Executive Officer of RR Donnelley. "With medical plans that cover more than 10 million people and management of one of the largest HMOs, CIGNA wanted a company that could provide its print and print-related needs across the print and distribution supply chain at a competitive cost. We believe RR Donnelley is the best positioned company in the industry to offer this broad approach, and this agreement with CIGNA is further evidence that our cross-platform sales approach is working."
Under the agreement, RR Donnelley will provide printing and distribution of CIGNA's member materials from pre-enrollment to post-enrollment products and services.
"We're thrilled to have been selected to manage and implement this outsourcing business model for CIGNA's print and distribution operations," said Bob Nelson, President, Corporate Sales at RR Donnelley. "Our agreement with CIGNA is yet another example of the breadth and depth we can offer across the RR Donnelley platform of products and services - from e-procurement to printing to distribution and fulfillment. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with CIGNA."
"Our key measure in selecting an external partner was an organization that could deliver high-quality products and services in a cost-effective manner. We are confident RR Donnelley can maintain the high standards CIGNA has come to expect from its printing and distribution functions," said Jeffrey Novak, Vice President, Real Estate and Purchasing for CIGNA.
