Lode Vlayen appointed new managing director for KBA

(July 06, 2008) Independent German networking consultancy KBA Complete in Radebeul, near Dresden, has appointed Lode Vlayen (49) managing director to succeed Roland Kastner, who died unexpectedly on 18 June. The appointment is effective from 1 July.

Born in Belgium, Lode Vlayen took a degree in engineering science at the Catholic University in Leuven prior to becoming production manager at a web offset plant, where he gained extensive experience in pre-press technology, printing and finishing. He later accepted a post as European product marketing manager at Scitex and Creo, responsible for Prinergy and other systems. Four years ago he transferred to Hiflex as the director for the Benelux states. A highly respected expert on workflow and networking systems, Lode Vlayen maintains close contacts with members of the printing industry and leading manufacturers of pre-press equipment.
