Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO, May 30, 2003 - The hard work and dedication of employees combined with superior print quality helped RR Donnelley win the Gravure Association of America's (GAA) Gold Cylinder Award for the printing of the February 2003 issue of Meredith Corporation's Better Homes and Gardens. This marks the third time RR Donnelley has won this award in the past four years. RR Donnelley accepted the award during the GAA's Gala Award Ceremony on May 6 in Nashville, Tenn. Karen Chiovaro, Meredith's senior director of operations, was in the Mattoon plant the morning after the awards ceremony. She was on hand to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Better Homes and Gardens being produced at RR Donnelley's Mattoon plant. Ms. Chiovaro was delighted that Better Homes and Gardens won the award. To the RR Donnelley employees that were on hand, Ms. Chiovaro expressed her appreciation for RR Donnelley's part in not only this award but also for how Mattoon has handled all of the Meredith titles that have been brought to the facility throughout the past year. The RR Donnelley Mattoon facility won its first Gold Cylinder Award in 2000 for its work on Modern Maturity magazine and it won a second award in 2002 for its work with Browncor International.
