Press release from the issuing company

IMI, the leading conference and seminar group serving the digital printing industry, announces the second US Ink Jet Printing Developers Conference, which will take place from 5-7 February 2003 at the Chaparral Suites Hotel, Scottsdale, Arizona. This conference is a new concept, designed to enable current and potential ink jet printing systems developers, integrators and users to meet key industry players in a relaxed networking environment. Over 21/2 days attendees will be able to meet printhead manufacturers, ink jet ink manufacturers, chemical and material suppliers, technology integrators and instrumentation specialists who will all be exhibiting and presenting at the event. The conference has attracted leading players such as Spectra, Xaar and HP Specialty Printing Systems who will present the latest information about their printhead product ranges and technologies. The ability of ink jet to expand into ever more varied applications depends largely on the work of ink jet ink manufacturers and formulators. Ten have signed up for this event - Avecia, American Ink Jet, SunJet, Collins Ink, Sensient, Xennia, Flint Ink, Sericol, Graphic Digital and CIT. Plus materials suppliers Sartomer, Cognis and Arizona Chemical will be discussing the best choice of resins, pigments and coatings for ink jet applications. The use of UV curable inks has grown rapidly in packaging, labeling and signage applications and Fusion UV Systems, IST Metz and Integration Technology will present updates on UV product developments. Additional services are offered by Philips for process development; contract engineering and integration expertise from The Technology Partnership; ink jet consulting from Pivotal Resources and concept development work from iTi. Plus independent experts from Web Consulting, IT Strategies, Litrex and Pivotal Resources will provide in-depth industry analysis. Finally, IMI will also be running the Ink Jet Academy. Over 1,000 students of ink jet have attended this 11/2 day course, which provides a technical introduction to ink jet technologies, inks and media. And for companies wanting to gain a greater understanding of UV technology in ink jet applications IMI announces the 1st UV Ink Jet Symposium. Both these special courses run from the 3-4 February, immediately before the Ink Jet Developers Conference. About IMI The Information Management Institute runs the largest and most comprehensive conference and seminar program in the digital printing industry.
