Labelexpo Americas 2002, held at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, near Chicago, Illinois on 10-12 September 2002 was the most successful North American labelling event to date. 458 companies, including 65 for the first time, exhibited to thousands of visitors from across the world while over 540 delegates took part in the adjoining conference with 65 speakers. Across the show floor brand new technologies were displayed, including printing presses, digital technology, pre-press and finishing equipment, inks and coatings. Nilpeter showed their innovative FBZ press; HP Indigo’s new ws4000 digital press was demonstrated for the first time; Gallus presented their new RCS 330 servo-driven press; and Mark Andy revealed their brand new DT inkjet/ laser die cut press that had only been finalised two weeks prior to the show. Exhibitors reported an excellent flow of visitors with many commenting that they had too many business approaches to deal with each day. Labelexpo Americas 2004 will take place at the same venue on 14-16 September 2004. Roger Pellow, Labelexpo Event Director, said, "This year’s Labelexpo Americas was the most successful event ever. All the key decision makers in the industry were there, and real business was done on the show floor. We are now looking forward to Labelexpo Americas 2004 for which almost all the exhibitors from this year have already re-booked.
