Document Production Fundamentals certificate course taught in Ottawa
Press release from the issuing company
Richardson, Texas, September 22, 2008 – acadami has announced that it will offer a repeat presentation of the course entitled Document Production Fundamentals in Ottawa, Ontario on October 6th and 7th. This is in response to numerous requests by Ottawa organizations about the same course held in late August at Seneca College in Markham. At that course, ten document specialists successfully completed all attendance and examination requirements to earn two Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from Xplor International and 20 Education Units out of the 100 required for Electronic Document Professional Certification (EDP).
The two-day certificate course, which covers the basic fundamental technologies, processes, and terms for the document production process, had previously been offered only as part of Xplor International's Xplor Document University annual event. Now, acadami is working again with Xplor's Canadian Region to extend professional education to document professionals where they live and work.
"We are delighted with the strong showing that Canadian document professionals are making in attending the professional level of education that acadami offers. Document professionals win three ways through these courses: by receiving professional, vendor-neutral education, by earning CEUs from the only organization (Xplor) that offers them in the high volume transaction document space, and by earning points towards their EDP certification from Xplor," says William J. 'Bill' McCalpin, edp cdia mit lit, Registrar of acadami.
Document professionals who attend the two-day course at Queens University Executive Education Centre in Ottawa October 6th and 7th and satisfy the attendance and examination requirements will receive 2 CEUs (Continuing Education Units) from Xplor International for their achievements.
