Digitalpro, Inc. Installs Komori Lithrone SX29 Press

Press release from the issuing company

Rolling Meadows, IL, September 18, 2008 – Komori America Corporation, a premier manufacturer of sheetfed and web offset printing presses, today announced it has installed a five-color Lithrone SX29 (LSX 529) offset press at Digitalpro, Inc. This is the company's first Komori press.  Established in 2003, Digitalpro is a commercial printer with a fast-growing, state-of-the-art facility in San Diego, CA. Digitalpro delivers a wide range of digital and offset printing capabilities to clients in the retail, pharmaceutical, and technology industries. The company chose the Komori press to offer a wider range of applications, faster turnaround, and more competitive pricing to its growing clientele.

Sam Mousavi, president and CEO of Digitalpro, Inc., reports the Komori Lithrone SX29 easily answers growing market demand for faster turnaround coupled with high quality prints, due to its ability to deliver exceptionally fast make-ready times and color brilliance. "The extensive automation of the LSX 529 and superior inking and distribution were key drivers in our decision," said Mousavi. "In the past, we couldn't work and roll, but this new Komori press gives us that extra inch and allows for a full bleed. The result generates efficiency and an excellent print quality. We think this press fully competes with a 40-inch press because, even though it's smaller, it's very fast."

Speed and flexibility are key attributes of the LSX 529. The press features an automatic plate changing system that changes each plate in less than forty seconds. Additionally, there is a program-controlled pre-inking and removing function to create the proper ink film density, enabling faster start-ups.

"We're pleased to assist Digitalpro in delivering finished products with the highest quality available," said Paul Peyrebrune, vice president of sales for Komori's Western Region. "It's a company that is driven to create solid, long-lasting relationships with customers through swift, competitively-priced printing."
