More than 60 sign and graphics locations across North America will celebrate Sign MFG Day later this week, showcasing careers in the industry to hundreds of students.

“As our industry works to attract fresh talent, Sign Manufacturing Day is a great way to highlight what our industry is all about and help inspire the next generation workforce,” said Lori Anderson, ISA president and CEO.

Sign MFG Day was created to introduce the industry to high school, community and technical college students. In the decade since it began, participating companies have filled open positions, built internships and job shadowing opportunities and created ongoing partnerships with local schools.

As the program has grown, ISA has deepened relationships with educators, working with the Association for Career and Technical Education. This partnership connects ISA and the sign and graphics industry to teachers whose students will be the future workforce. ISA will participate in ACTE’s upcoming annual event this winter, introducing even more teachers who want their students to tour sign and graphics companies.

Sign MFG Day is held in conjunction with the National Association of Manufacturers’ MFG Day, the first Friday of each October. While Sign MFG Day is held at the same time, many participating companies choose a more convenient date for them, and several host multiple events throughout the year.
