Press release from the issuing company
Schaumburg, IL – RUCOINX will focus on screen printing inks at glasstec 2024 when it exhibits the 937LED series for LED drying, and the T28 series of universal solvent-based inks for pad printing in booth D55-2, Hall 12. The event for glass production, processing, and products is being held October 22-25 at the Dusseldorf Exhibition Centre in Germany.
Based in Eppstein, RUCOINX has a rich history dating back to 1957 and was acquired by INX International in 2020. The 937LED and T28 series are recently developed environmentally safe products. Both are free of phthalates, aromatic solvents, cyclohexanone, barium and bromine. These products also meet current industry guidelines and are compliant with the EuPIA exclusion list, REACH (SVHC) and GADSL standards, and with EN 71-3, the current European standard for toy safety.
The 937LED series presents impressive design options while increasing processing flexibility and minimizing energy costs. The two component inks also answer the demand for LED UV dry printing inks. Since the curing method enables further processing of the printed material directly after printing, significant time savings can be achieved. With the ever rising cost of energy prices, considerable cost savings due to lowered energy requirements are also likely.
Formulated with future-oriented raw materials, the 937LED series offers printers a high degree of flexibility. Displaying high opacity and brilliant color, the wide range of basic and spot colors are supplemented by highly opaque white and black formulations to produce a host of impressive decorative options.
As universal curing inks, the 937LED series is suitable for processing on systems using LED technology, or can be cured using conventional mercury or iron-doped standard UV lamps. A printer with both systems in place may benefit from lower inventory costs. Regardless of the system, the series exhibits excellent adhesion to glass, ceramics, and metal. They also have very good resistance to chemicals, water, and abrasion, and printers have reported excellent results in terms of dishwasher and freezer resistance.
The T28 series is a versatile set of two component pad printing inks. Universally applicable, these solvent-based inks are ideal for glass and metal decoration and save money with minimal energy costs. Due to their special formulation, the fast drying inks cure in less than 24 hours at room temperature, or within 20 minutes with heat-forced oven drying at 80-degrees Celsius.
Known for their high flexibility and excellent adhesion immediately after heat drying, T28 inks provide excellent resistance to chemicals, alkalis and water. They also exhibit excellent dishwasher, ice water, and freeze resistance, as well as very high abrasion resistance. This series is available in a wide range of basic colors. Attractive designs can also be produced using process colors for four-color printing, highly opaque black and white formulations, and special effect colors.
RUCOINX also plans to exhibit the 110GE series of inks for screen and pad printing. INX ink experts will be available in booth D55-2, Hall 12 throughout the show to answer any questions.
