Millcraft Paper Company Names Greg Lovensheimer as First Non-Family President in Company's 104-Year History

Press release from the issuing company

CLEVELAND, OHIO – Millcraft Paper Company, a family-owned merchant serving the professional paper, packaging and graphic arts industries, proudly announces the appointment of Greg Lovensheimer as President, marking the first time in its 104-year history that the company has appointed a non-family member to this leadership role.

Greg Lovensheimer will now oversee the day-to-day operations of Millcraft, a company that has been family-owned and operated since its founding in 1920. Greg, who joined Millcraft in 2013, brings nearly 40 years of experience in the paper industry, having worked extensively on the mill side before transitioning to distribution. His leadership and expertise have played an instrumental role in Millcraft's continued growth and success over the past decade.

Greg’s appointment is a significant milestone for Millcraft, signaling both continuity in the company’s long-standing values and a new chapter in its journey of innovation, transformation, and customer excellence.

Travis Mlakar, who has led the company as President since 2012 and has served as both President and CEO since 2018, will continue in his role as Chief Executive Officer. Travis will focus on strategic growth opportunities, ensuring Millcraft remains at the forefront of the industry.

“Greg has brought an incredible amount of passion, operational efficiencies, and clarity to our business through organized processes,” said Travis Mlakar, CEO and fourth-generation family member. “His genuine love for our business and industry pushes us forward each day to be a better company.”

Under Greg’s leadership, Millcraft is poised to capitalize on its recent investments, including the company’s single largest investment in history: the development of a new technology platform. This new structure is designed to enhance the customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and optimize connections with customers and suppliers, ultimately delivering the lowest total operating cost.

“I am incredibly humbled and honored at the opportunity to lead such an exceptional organization of talented and passionate professionals,” said Greg Lovensheimer. “After spending the last few years building out our technology platform, Millcraft will now leverage our new capabilities to deliver an exceptional and unmatched experience to our clients.”

Since 2012, Millcraft has nearly tripled in size, a testament to the company's strategic direction and commitment to innovation. As the current Chairman of the National Paper Trade Association (NPTA), Greg's industry expertise and leadership are recognized far beyond Millcraft.
