Sakurai Will Debut the Servo-Driven MS-80dds at Printing United Expo in Las Vegas

Press release from the issuing company

(SCHAUMBURG, IL) Sakurai, the global leader in sheet-fed screenprinting technology will introduce the Servo-Driven MS-80DDS Cylinder Screen press to the North American market and showcase the Maestro Family of sheet-fed and web-fed presses and more in its information exhibit C1791 at Printing United Expo, September 10-12, 2024 in Las Vegas.

SAKURAI SERVO-DRIVEN MS-80DDS
Sakurai’s reimagined Maestro MS-80DDS eliminates gears and sprockets for drive control control with each part directly driven by a servomotor. The fully automated, labor saving DDS was designed for easier operation and a scratch free conveying function - even for difficult materials. New features to improve operability and efficiency include a larger LCD touch screen operating panel, a presetting mechanism for sheet size and plate positioning and remote access function to simplify operation and maintenance. Sakurai’s exclusive CCD optical camera registration system checks register marks for sheet alignment to improve productivity and performance. The high precision MS-80DDS accepts sheets up 21 3/4” x 31 5/8” and operates at a higher running speed of 3,000 IPH. “The MS-80DDS utilizes modern servo-driven motion to insure precise deposits of ink and laydown,” said David Rose, General Manager Sakurai USA, Inc. The Sakurai MS-DDS Servo Drive Series also includes the 31 1/2” x 44 7/8” MS-110DDS and the new MS-120DDS, which accepts larger sheets up to 31 1/32” x 49 7/32”.

SAKURAI SERVO DRIVEN MSDR SERIES OF WEB-FED CYLINDER SCREEN PRESSES
The Maestro MSDR Series are fully automated, high productivity web-fed cylinder screen presses designed for precision screen printing of thin materials in roll form. Because of its servo-driven design, there is no backlash or play in gears, belts, or any other driving parts. Press operation is managed by a user friendly touch screen panel and its CCD optical camera registration system perfectly aligns substrates. Applications include multi-layer ceramic capacitors, printed electronics, biometric sensors, membrane switches, medical, decals and more. Two models are available: the MSDR60 with a 23 5/8” maximum web width and the MSDR30 with a maximum 11 13/16” web width.

SAKURAI SCREEN FOIL™ LQM SERIES HOT FOIL STAMPERS
The LQM 76 and LQM 105 ScreenFoil™ Evolution LQM Series present a cost-effective in-house solution for hot foil finishing without the need for dies. Available in two sizes, the LQM 76, accepts sheet sizes up to 23 1/2” x 22 1/2” and the LQM 105 accepts sheet sizes up to 41 1/2” x 30”. The LQM Series brings a new level of flexibility, quality and performance when combined with any size or vintage Sakurai screen press. The LQM Series has many features to increase productivity including a larger 3” web core diameter, an alignment conveyor to precisely transport printed sheets, a user-friendly touch screen and foil saving capability.

NATGRAPH DRYING AND CURING SYSTEMS FROM SAKURAI
Natgraph’s Electronic UV system delivers higher levels of curing power at drastically reduced running costs, resulting in a vastly improved yield for the UV curing process. Natgraph’s electronic power supply technology allows the optimum lamp power to be selected on a true stepless percentage basis. Full power is 170 watts/cm (450 watts/inch), with a typical power savings of over 50% when compared to conventional transformer driven UV systems. Natgraph UV drying systems present an ideal combination system when used with a Sakurai cylinder screen press.
